Sheboygan Squared Restaurant Week… Something for Everyone
The City of Sheboygan and Sheboygan Squared adopted a downtown master plan in March 2014. That plan laid out three key strategies for the downtown; 1) Leverage Sheboygan’s Arts, Culture and Food Heritage, 2) Encourage market supported housing and urban development, 3) Enhance connections and cross-marketing within Harbor Centre. Each goal had action items and timing associated with them. Over the past three years, a number of the High, Medium and Low priority action items have been completed or are underway. Thirty percent of the businesses in the Sheboygan Squared District are dining businesses equal to 30% of the businesses being shops, compared to 26% being service sector and 13% entertainment.
If you are not one of the 4,857 people that frequent downtown Sheboygan daily, you may be unaware of the great dining options offered. From surf n turf to pizza, pub food, area specialties, elegant and casual Italian, award winning wings to breakfast favorites, the options are endless. Eleven of the top 20 Trip Advisor restaurants are located in the Sheboygan Squared District.
To celebrate this, the Sheboygan Squared Marketing and Promotion committee has established the first ever Restaurant Week, January 17, 18, and 19. These three days are a great time for residents and visitors to come downtown and try a new restaurant to receive a $10 lunch special or a $20 evening special at one of the 16 participating restaurants.
