The City of Sheboygan administered its annual community survey from February 1 through 22 and the results were announced at the March 15, 2021 Common Council meeting. The survey provides an opportunity for residents to provide input to city staff on initiatives designed to improve the six focus areas of our Strategic Plan. Additionally, our Core Values which are represented by the STAIRS acronym, serve as a beacon to guide our daily actions and a mirror to reflect the high quality standards by which we are measured:
- S = Service
- T = Teamwork
- A = Accountability
- I = Innovation
- R = Respect
- S = Stewardship/Fiscal Responsibility
Of the 39,256 City residents age 18 and older, the participation rate for this year’s survey was 1,540 people. Since the inception of this survey in 2016 when there were 680 participants, the response rate has increased 226%. Each response is reviewed carefully, and work has already begun to improve resident satisfaction.

Thanks to our residents for time spent completing the survey as well as the numerous community partners for their efforts in promoting the survey. Congratulations to Amy Holte, the winner of $100 in Sheboygan County Chamber Cash for completing the survey. Please look for our 2022 Community Survey next winter.
