NINTH REGULAR COMMON COUNCIL MEETING FOR THE 2019-2020 COUNCIL YEAR

Chad Pelishek, Director of Planning and Development, presented an update on the FreshTech Innovation District.
Five residents spoke at the public forum on the conversion therapy ban proposed in Ordinance 5-19-20.
Mayor Vandersteen informed Council that Sheboygan National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6 at King Park.
Mayor Vandersteen informed Council of upcoming Downtown events:
- Levitt Amp Concert – Thursday, August 8 – 6:00 pm Wise Jennings; 7:00 pm Adrian + Meredith
- Planetarium on The Green – Saturday, August 10 – 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Picnic on The Green – Saturday, August 10 – 4:00 pm Grae Trio; 5:15 pm JP & The Fizz
- Night Market at City Green – Friday, August 16
- Sheboygan Pops Band Concert at Fountain Park – Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30 pm
Council received the Financial Trend Monitoring Analysis for the City of Sheboygan.
Council received and adopted the distribution and format plan for the 2021 Executive Program Budget.
Council approved a contract for surveying services for the proposed Union Pacific Bike/Pedestrian Trail from Pennsylvania Avenue to Union Avenue.
Council approved the purchase and installation of clarifier drive at the Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Council approved ordinances to enact the following traffic and parking changes:
- Stop sign at the SW corner of Stahl Road and OK
- Four-way stop sign at Stahl Road and S. Taylor Drive
- No parking zone on the east side of N. 6th Street from New York Avenue to 90 feet south
- No parking zone on the west side of S. 18th Street South of Fox Hill Road
- Stop sign at the southwest Corner of SouthPointe Drive and OK
- Stop sign at the southwest corner of Horizon Drive and OK
- Stop sign at the north east corner of Horizon Drive and S. Taylor Drive
Council approved a contract with Clifton Larson Allen LLP to perform an Operational and Organizational Assessment of the City’s Finance and Human Resources Department.
Council approved a contract with TerraTec Engineering, LLC regarding the bulkhead line survey of the Sheboygan River and Lake Michigan shoreline.
Council approved an Ordinance to the Municipal Code titled “Conversion Therapy Prohibited” that will ban the practice of conversion therapy between a licensed practitioner and a minor where a fee is charged.
Council officially recognized the End Park Association as the tenth Sheboygan Neighborhood Association.
Council met in closed session to discuss the possible sale of city owned property at 229 South Pier Drive.
