The City of Sheboygan announces Ross Dress for Less as the second tenant in the former Shopko redevelopment project. Ross Dress for Less plans to occupy approximately 25,200 square feet of the 97,000 square feet of available space. Hobby Lobby will occupy approximately 60,000 square feet. The remaining 11,800 square feet in the back of the building does not have a confirmed tenant. A separate outlot parcel south of Applebee’s is being developed as part of this development as well. No tenant is confirmed for the outlot parcel.
Ross Dress for Less will occupy the northern portion of the existing vacant storefront at 518 S. Taylor Drive in the City of Sheboygan. Ross Dress for Less and Hobby Lobby expect to obtain land use approvals in November 2021 and start interior remodeling over the winter season. Ross Dress for Less offers the best bargains on the latest trends in clothing, shoes, home décor, and more.
Under the tentative agreements, the City of Sheboygan would provide a $325,000 city incentive and a $375,000 business development loan agreement to bridge gaps in operating pro-forma for the two national retailers. The developer Corta Sheboygan, LLC plans to invest a minimum of $4,600,000 in the development of the Project and another $1,200,000 expended for the development of an out lot south of the Applebee’s.
